Let's Get Naked! UD NAKED2 Palette Review

Haha, excuse the title... ;)

If you read my birthday post, you know I got the amazing Urban Decay Naked2 Palette! First of all, let me start by saying how much I love love love this brand! UD is a brand that I can buy something to try, and know I'm more than likely going to love it! It is a brand I trust! It's high quality product, worth every penny, and it's one of my favorite high end brands! :)

I have been lusting over the UD Naked and Naked2 palettes for quite some time... since the first came out. I wanted to get it so badly, but I chose makeup set by Tarte (another amazing brand) instead... I really want to get the Naked palette to compare the two of them now! :)

My mom and I had both been drooling over the Naked2 at Ulta earlier this year, and she ended up getting her one, and when we went to Michigan last month to visit my Memal, I got my hands on it and got to use it! I loved it! She ended up getting it for me for my birthday! :)

Anyways.. Let's get back to the whole point of this blog post.... A review on the UD Naked2 palette!

Packaging really sells something to me. If the packaging is bland or ugly, or poorly put together, or really cheap quality.. I am less likely to buy that product. No worries with Urban Decay products! They all come so nicely packaged.

The palette comes in a nice metal-tin container, with a mini Lip Junkie lipgloss in the shade "Naked". Now, I have looked over the original Naked palette in Ulta and Sephora when it first came out, and I have to say comparing the Naked2 palette and original Naked palette based on packaging, Naked2 has it hands down, it's much nicer and sleeker.

This palette is amazing for those of you who love neutral-toned eyeshadows! And it's A LOT more BANG for your buck because one UD full-size eyeshadow alone costs $17-18 on their website.. and you're getting 12 full-size eyeshadows, for $50 instead of $204-216; That is a HUGE difference! That's not even counting the brush and lip product you are getting in addition to the eyeshadows!

Opened up you will see 12 full-sized eyeshadows and a full-length mirror going across the top.
The mirror is a pretty decent size. Also included in the palette is a dual ended eyeshadow brush: one end is a flat brush and the other is a fluffy blending brush.

The palette also comes with a mini Lip Junkie gloss in the shade Naked. The lipgloss is cute and mini sized with a pretty cap. The color is flattering and goes with the colors so well! It also has a minty cooling effect. This is perfect to throw in your purse!

The palette contains 12 full-size shadows, 3 of them being mattes (foxy, tease, and blackout). With every single shade in the palette being amazingly pigmented and gorgeous!

Here are the swatches of all the colors:

Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout

Very worth the money! Definitely a must have for every make up fanatic, especially if you love pretty neutrals!! Go get it! :)

Surrender the Booty!! ARRGGH!

ARRRRGGGHH!!!!!

Last night my Mama had a Halloween party to go to, and she had decided on a Pirate costume, so she wanted me to come and do her makeup.. And I was like well, I can try.. So naturally I had to practice on myself first to see if I could even make it look anything like a pirate type.. And I think I did a decent job! I actually had a pirate costume downstairs, so I went to get it to see if it resembled a pirate.

I will update this in a bit with what I all used. :)

I plan on doing some more Halloween looks this week and showing you our pumpkins, a few DIY, fall and halloween projects and the rest of our decorations! :)

Mom's make up turned out great! And I told her to try and curl her hair as crazy as she could and make it just a hot mess! Haha!

Brrr! A Day in the Life of a Soccer Mom.. haha!

It sure is a cold day here in Kentucky! It's been either raining or misting most of the day, and it's just plain cold out! I love this time of year though, so I'm not complaining too much! ;)

Justin had the night off last night, so we just relaxed at home, rented some dvds from Redbox and ordered some Pizza Hut!! He got Pizza (and yes, he can eat an entire pizza himself.. he is a big eater, like a teenage boy lol), and I got Honey BBQ wings and cheese sticks! Mmmm! We ended up just finishing the rest of season 4 Sons of Anarchy and started season 5! :D

We started watching SOA about a month or so ago... and we cannot get enough of it! We have blown through the seasons of this show! I never thought I would like it, but Justin started watching it on Netflix one day, and I try to watch shows with him, and he tries to watch them with me, and usually we both end up liking it and stick with it.. we were addicted to this as soon as we began watching.. so much drama!! Ahh! We're on the current season now, just started it, so hopefully we will get caught up soon! I already know a few things that happen.. (poor Opie.. so sad)

We went to redbox to rent the new Madea flick... I just started watching them last year.. and they are so hilarious.. why on earth did I not watch them sooner? I had been missing out! They make me laugh so hard each time! :) But, it was out! :( So, we rented The Five Year Engagement, Battleship, and Snow White and the Huntsman.. the past year or so we have been obsessed with Snow White.. I think it all began when we found out I was pregnant and I said if it's a girl, she's probably going to look like snow white, because we are both pretty pale and Justin has jet black hair.. :) I haven't watched any of them just yet, but Justin did watch Battleship and said it was pretty good! Ohh, Redbox has a special going on right now, Rent 2, get 1 for .50 cents! :) And you can almost always find a coupon code for Redbox :)

Aiden had his final soccer game of the season this morning. It was SUPER cold then, but they played... I'm just glad I wore my leggings under my jeans :P lol Thankfully we didn't have to take Piper as cold as it was (Justin's parents watched her)! After the game, the kiddos received a cupcake and a trophy! He is tickled with his trophy, and thinks we should put it on display in the living room on the book case so everyone can see it, instead of his bedroom.. :)

Here's his little trophy he got for the season :)

It's just been a busy day of cleaning, homework, playing and relaxing.
I made some soup earlier; there's nothing better on a cold day than a good bowl of soup! :)

A couple of weeks ago, Abe and Pip got a package in the mail all the way from Las Vegas!

And then Aiden got some candy in the mail today for Halloween and Pip a new outfit! Too spoiled.. Thanks Jeff! I snagged a bag of homemade Jerky too.. I'd never tried homemade jerky before.. It was pretty good, pretty spicy!

It's so hard to believe that my baby girl just celebrated her seventh month.. That's right.. She's 7 months old... Today in fact! I can't believe it! It's gone by super fast! My pregnancy was so fast with her, and then she was here and we were leaving the hospital in no time it seemed.. and here she is.. crawling, saying da-da (go figure.. :P) bye and kinda waving, pulling up... sigh! :( it's bittersweet! :)

She's a little Diva! ;)

Well, I have a few more entries in my drafts, but have had an awful time getting my photos to upload to blogger! Shew!!! I will post them as soon as I get them uploaded! :) A couple of reviews and some thrifty awesomeness.. :) I'm addicted to thrifting, in case you didn't know.. been doing it since a kid, but that's all in my drafted posts, waiting for the pictures to upload :D!

Going to finish up some reading for one of my classes, then finish up the night with The Five Year Engagement. Hoping Piper lets me get some rest tonight.. I think her gums are bothering her... she's been teething forever it seems..

Oooh I have a giveaway coming soon!! :D Stay tuned! ;)

Another year older and wiser...

In the past year, I have once again learned so much about life! I think that's the thing about getting older.. you realize and see things for what they are. Things are so much more clear to me with each new year that comes!

I had a pretty blah birthday last year.. it just seemed like if something could go wrong, it did.. plus, I was pregnant and horomonal, so that made it even worse because I was much more emotional, lol.

Anyways, on October 14th, I celebrated my 26th year of life on this big, bad world! Justin took me to O' Charley's (because I love it :D) and we just went and shopped around.. had a day out to ourselves.

We were going to go to the movies, but the only movie on that day I cared anything about seeing was Frankenweenie (lol--so mature right? I love Tim Burton movies! :-P), and I wanted to take Aiden to see it, if we were gonna watch that, so we just got a few movies from Redbox.. What to Expect When You're Expecting, Dark Shadows, and Think Like A Man. Think like a man was alright.. it had some funny parts, but What to Expect When You're Expecting was hilarious! Dark Shadows, Justin rented that.. he said it had a good storyline, but it just wasn't for me.. I fell asleep watching it!

Justin got me a cookie cake for my birthday, and the kiddos were at my Mama's so we went to pick them up and had some of it! It was super good!

I still have to go out to dinner with my dad for my birthday, but I got some pretty spiffy gifts! :)

And I got a few more things, but I don't have pictures of those yet! :)
