Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved and cherished Fall the most! It is my absolute favorite season! I love everything about fall. I love going outside and it being 50-65 degrees (Not sure why..); I love bundling up in warm snuggly blankets and just staying in with Justin watching a movie, or playing board games as a family! I love cardigans, big colorful long socks, boots, hoodies, uggs, scarves, and bon fires (though I've not had one of those in a while). Fall TV is amazing! :)
I love watching the leaves turn from boring ol' green into beautiful, colorful works of art.. seriously, in Kentucky, you can just look out a bit, and it's honestly like a painting! It is so gorgeous! I love watching the leaves fall, and the sound of them crunching under my feet! I love scooping them up into a big pile and jumping in them with Aiden!
I love PUMPKINS, when I was little my Dad brought home a HUGE pumpkin for me.. I'm talking probably 300 pounds, at least!!! I love carving pumpkins and painting them! I love decorating for fall, though it's so pretty out already you wouldn't have to! :)
We have decorated a bit for fall, only thing is putting the rest of the Halloween decorations up and carving and painting the pumpkins! I plan for us to do that this week! I also want to go to the pumpkin patch. I usually take Aiden each year. My dad owns a greenhouse/farm center so we get free pumpkins, but it's still a neat experience.. the pumpkin patch because not only does it make for great photo ops, they usually have hay rides, a petting zoo, a pumpkin shooter, bonfires, and corn mazes! It's an all around good time! So I'm hoping we can take the kiddos.. it will be Piper's first time! Aiden will be going with school on a field trip to a local one, but I haven't ever been there before. :)
I also love all the good fall food! Crock pot cookin', pumpkin bread, pumpkin roll, sweet potatoes, turkey and dressing, all the good thanksgiving foods.. MMM. My mouth is already watering! I made my first roast ever this fall, I'm not a big fan of roast, but every so often I am. It turned out ok! I love using the crockpot.. so easy and convenient for a busy family! I am using my crock pot more and more.. stay tuned for some recipes in another blog post! :)
I love Halloween and Fall decorations, but they can get a bit pricey! I plan on doing some DIY crafts and including them here on the blog this week... and I will show you our finished pumpkins! We really need to get on the ball with Halloween costume shopping as well! We know we want Piper to be Minnie Mouse her first Halloween, and Aiden wants to be Sonic the Hedgehog, but the only place I have found it so far is ebay and it wasn't in his size.. :-/ So, he may have to choose a different one!
